The 17th Annual Philadelphia Marathon came to end with Daniel Vassalo of the United States as the winner of the men’s race. Daniel finished the race within a time period of 2 hours, 21 minutes and 28 seconds.
In women’s race, Netherlands’ Mariska Kramer won the race with the time of 2 hours, 38 minutes and 55 seconds, outpacing a record field of 9,000 runners on Sunday.
Both the winners of the Philadelphia Marathon will receive cash prize of $3,500 each.
The second runner up in the 26.2-mile Philadelphia Marathon's men's race is David Bedoya of Somerville with the time of 2 hours, 23 minutes and 37 seconds. Ramilia Burangulova of Russia stood second in women’s race with the time of 2 hours, 40 minutes and 40 seconds.
Philadelphia Marathon 2010 lured 50,000 spectators and in contrast to the 11,000 registered runners, 9,000 runners could run the race because of the construction work at Lemon Hill.
